Sleep Where the
Forest Holds You
Luxury treehouses suspended 60 feet in the ancient canopy. 100-foot rope bridges. 42 acres of silence. Hand-built in a canopy you'll never want to leave.
This is not a cabin with a view. This is a home in the sky — suspended in a canopy of white oak and beech that has stood for over a century. You'll cross a thirty-foot rope bridge through the trees as a warm-up. Then the hundred-foot bridge appears — the one that makes your heart beat faster before the forest slows it back down. That one takes you to your front door. You'll fall asleep sixty feet in the air with nothing above you but stars and nothing below you but the creek rolling through the forest floor. And in the morning, you'll understand why no one who comes here leaves the same.

The Treehouses
Suspended
in Silence
Two hand-built treehouses suspended in the canopy. Queen beds. Panoramic windows. Private decks above the forest floor. No neighbors. No noise. Just you and the oldest trees in these mountains.

The Loxley Experience
Your Stay Is a Story,
Not a Checklist
We don't offer amenities. We offer chapters. The Crossing — your first steps across the rope bridge. First Light — dawn breaking through the canopy from your pillow. Fire & Flour — pizza you made yourself on the sky deck. After Dark — the stars you forgot existed, framed by the canopy above you.
Every moment at Loxley is designed. Not manufactured — designed. The way a great novel is designed: with tension, release, and a climax you'll remember for the rest of your life.

Built by Hand
A Family That Lives in the
Forest They Built
They carried every beam and board down four hundred feet of mountain by hand because they wouldn't let a machine touch the forest. Mick built the framing sixty feet in the air while Livy grew their first daughter. The arborists said the rope bridge was too long. They built it anyway. Two weeks. A hundred feet. Suspended over the valley.
They live here now — Mick, Livy, Aurora, and Tilly Mac. The girls think rope bridges are a normal way to get home. When you arrive, the people who designed and built your treehouse are the same people handing you a welcome basket.
That's Loxley. There's nowhere else like it because nobody else would build it this way.
Guest Stories
What They Remember Most
"The only sounds you hear are the birds chirping and the gentle rushing of water below. It feels very private and secluded. The perfect adventure to feel like you are camping in the woods, but with a bed and bathroom."
"I'll start this by saying it is pricey, but well worth the cost. If you love the pictures you will be in awe when you arrive. The place is a lot bigger than what you see in the photos. Very secluded, so privacy is not an issue."
"If you are on the fence about this place, don't be. Worth it again and again. We had a rainy weekend here but something about hearing the rain hit the treehouse tent while sipping wine has its perks. Hosts were hands down the best we've ever had."
"Words cannot do it justice — you need to experience it. I won't spoil the surprises that the hosts offer you, but believe me you will be very pleased with their thoughtfulness. They truly go above and beyond."
"This is my second time staying in this magical place in 1 week. I just can't get enough!! Livy and Mick go above and beyond to make this an experience you'll never forget!!"
"It made our stay feel like we were entering a magical storybook. Campfire already going, homemade pizza dough, s'mores kits, champagne for toasting, fresh pastries in the morning... Our entire crew agreed this won't be the last stay at Loxley Forest!"
"Fresh made pizza dough for the pizza oven, outdoor movie, secluded in a private forest, fresh pastries in the morning, the sound of a rippling creek... highly recommend this adventure!"
"It's rare to come across a place and a host so special. I left feeling rested, grateful, and already looking forward to coming back. Highly, highly recommend!!"
"We opted for the Forest Tableau, Stargazing, and Morning Moments. All the food was very good, a lot of it homemade, and abundant! It was worth it and a once in a lifetime experience."
"We felt like we were in a story book. Fresh pizza dough, tree mail, fresh pastries — Downtown Dahlonega was a dream! I guarantee you'll have just as beautiful a stay."
